I’m a Pakistani American Texas born and raised writer, content creator and film programmer dedicated to South Asian & Asian American storytelling rooted in identity, history, and advocacy.
I studied journalism and international relations at the University of Texas of Austin where I got involved with Asian American studies and Asian American organizing. I’m involved with various Asian American non profits like Austin Asian American Film Festival, Asian Texans for Justice, and the Dallas Asian American Historical Society. I co host an Asian American book club in Dallas called Did You Read Yet.
I’m dedicated to storytelling and community events rooted in identity, history, and advocacy and working towards creating accurate representation on screen, in office and in our textbooks!
